Find out moreThe first step by a company that wants to align to Microsoft technology, ideals and best practices is to become a Microsoft Partner. It is an important first step, but is not an auditable status and does not hold any guarantees from Microsoft.
Microsoft has created six Solutions Partner designations to correspond to each of the specific solution areas provided by Microsoft. Microsoft monitors eligibility through a capability score, which is a composite score that quantifies performance across the skill and certifications of consultants, the number of customers being helped in the area and the success with those customers.
After achieving a Solutions Partner designation, the next level of technical expertise is demonstrated in specialisations. These specialisations showcase deep technological knowledge and hands-on experience along very specific lines, such as Azure Virtual Desktop or data warehouse migrations. Each one of these specialisations involves a bi-yearly thorough audit process and customer references.
Microsoft created the program to elevate only the most capable and knowledgeable Managed Service Providers, and help Microsoft customers find an MSP that can deliver the very best expertise and support for cloud implementations. To become an Azure Expert MSP, a number of rigorous steps are required by Microsoft Partners to showcase their expert knowledge in delivering the entire cloud lifecycle, including a time and cost-intensive auditing process from a 3rd party.

Earning a place in this circle is no small achievement; it requires a consistent track record of delivering innovative solutions and providing exceptional customer service
